Alberto Migliucci is unique in that he has proven track record as a geologist and as one of the top investment bankers in Asia. Well-known and highly respected in the Asian investment and resources community, Alberto is now an investor and entrepreneur, he founded Singapore based boutique Petra Commodities Asia and is proud to be a founding sponsor of the Asia Gold Conference. He has over 30 years of industry and investment banking experience within the energy, oil and gas, and mining sectors. As a specialist in natural resources for M&A, capital raising, structured finance, IPOs, investments, and advisory, he spearheaded many landmark natural resources transactions with a cumulative total greater than $150 billion.
Formerly, Migliucci was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse investment banking department in Singapore, where he held the senior positions of Head of Mining & Metals for Asia, Head of Oil & Gas and Energy for SE Asia and Managing Director, Global Energy Group. At Credit Suisse he “led the firm to the number one position in advisory league tables in Asia 2008-2013” (Thomson Reuters). He worked for Standard Bank Plc where he drove the bank’s Asian business as the Head of Energy & Mining Finance. As a project finance specialist in Asia, he also worked for The Sumitomo Bank of Japan, Westpac Banking Corporation (Australia), and Société Générale in Hong Kong.
Alberto holds a Bachelor of Science (Geology) with First Class Honors, University of New South Wales and Master of Applied Finance (Macquarie University), Sydney, Australia.
