YJ has 14 years of work experience in fund management and investment research, with a sprinkling of entrepreneurship in the middle. YJ began his career covering the energy sector in Singapore in stock brokerages, along the way being named Singapore's top analyst and stock picker in his sectors over consecutive years. After 6.5 years of that, he started a number of businesses in the food and education industries.
Simultaneously, he joined Arcane Capital 7 years ago to co-manage its EU-based renewable energy fund. Over its 15-year life, Arcane Capital's fund has outperformed green indices by 10% per year. This year in May, Arcane Capital just launched Singapore's first Green Metal fund to offer investors an option to target the strong returns available here from the global energy transition theme.
